  Chestatee Animal Hospital offers Laser Surgery. This state of the art surgery has big benifits for your pets.  Laser energy seals nerve endings and small blood vessels as it cuts the tissue, resulting in less bleeding, less swelling and reduces pain and a  quicker recovery time.

• 24-HOUR HOSPITAL CARE

  Our veterinarians and experienced staff  are ready to help your pet, during their hospital stay.

• BATHING

  Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include nail trim and ear cleaning. We recommend a flea treatment following the bath. We offer Frontline, Advantage, Advantix and Revolution as topical solutions. Baths can be scheduled Monday - Friday, by appointment.

• Grooming by Susan Bowcock

  Susan Bowcock grooms on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. Her 17 years experience show in her work. Your pets are gently and loving cared for and leave feeling like the "Top Dog"!

• BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

  Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics.

• BOARDING

  Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active. Our long-term guests get extra attention, weight and appetite are monitored closely. Our new kennel offers larger run for multi dogs families.  Also for more room to keep large dogs more comfortable. We also now a large cat boarding suite, to keep cats happy and free from the barking dogs. This make boarding more enjoyable for our "Kitty Friends". Call to make your boarding reservations.

  Is your pet unhappy or lonely while you're at work? Give your companion the personal attention he or she deserves throughout the day. We offer the same TLC and playtime offered to our longer-term guests.

• DENTAL CARE

  Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available.

• EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE

  In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.

• HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES

  Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. We use a caring Creamation Service, that picks up the pets and returns the cremains to us.

• IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

  We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
